The long-awaited sequel to the Kony 2012 viral video has finally arrived, and although it’s different, it’s much of the same. Click through for the video.
The new film is slightly shorter than its predecessor, running for 20 minutes, and delves more deeply into the heart of the issue.
“Part II gives a closer look at the Lord’s Resistance Army, the international efforts to stop them, the progress that has already been made, and what we can all do to help,” the caption on the video says.
The original film received widely mixed reviews, many questioning where the immense revenue of the organisation was flowing to. More recently, co-founder Jason Russel was hospitalised following a very public meltdown.
Regardless of how it was interpreted, Kony 2012 quickly became the most viral video ever and I’m sure the sequel will not be far behind.
