Things have moved pretty quickly for Jonathan Ovadia, I’m sure. Following the announcement by Malema this weekend that he (Ovadia) had become Malema’s protégé, the media have been all over him – as his interests, education and background were investigated and reported. News24 confirmed via Ovadia’s Facebook page, that he went to King David High School.
Malema and Ovadia
No-one knows exactly what Julius Malema is up to, but it is most interesting to note that two years ago, Jonathan Ovadia showed his support of an anti-Malema Facebook group called ‘1,000,000 Against Julius Malema,’ which he ‘liked’ on the social network.
He liked two other groups that year, a pro-Aston Martin group and a pro-Dirty Skirts group. This evidence was found on his Facebook timeline (below).

Malema and co. clearly didn’t do all the necessary PR work and tidying up before unveiling the understudy to the world, and it is interesting to note that the anti-Malema portion of Ovadia’s Facebook profile (above screenshot taken Saturday 31 March, 2012) has now been removed. Luckily 2oceansvibe managed to take those screenshots on Saturday, before the spring-cleaning operation.
This is what Ovadia’s Facebook timeline looks like this morning.

It’s nice to see the Dirty Skirts are still there.
But one wonders how Malema could have claimed to be Ovadia’s mentor, when Ovadia had openly supported anti-Malema sentiment for the last two years?
