Bailey Schneider‘s legion of fans have already caught wind of her move over to 2ov.fm, as of Monday 16 April. There is much excitement as the former afternoon drive presenter (she was co-hosting with Mark Pilgrim at 94.7 Highveld Stereo) settles into her new Monday to Friday show on 2ov.fm, from 2pm to 3pm.
Her show will be extended every Tuesday, broadcasting from 2pm to 5pm and will be hitting music and entertainment with a Johannesburg edge – looking at different new and exciting subjects every show. Each one hour will focus on music, fashion or what’s happening in Jozi. There will be regular guests and interviews.
She expressed her thanks to her former co-presenter Mark Pilgrim on Twitter:
“I have no words for how grateful I am & honoured to have worked with you- My work husband and my good friend! Thank you xxx”
Bailey also gave an emotional farewell on her website here.
But the mosty exciting part of it all, is that Bailey will be broadcasting from 2ov.fm‘s new studios, opening in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. The studio is in actual shop space, so fans can watch their favourite presenters (including 5FM’s Ian F) LIVE on-air!
Bailey Schneider’s move to South Africa’s biggest digital radio station signals a trend, as FM radio experiences an exodus of sorts. Just this weekend it was reported that Sasha Martenengo had left 5FM and has joined Darren Scott’s new digital radio station, called Ballz Radio.
