Three officers have been kicked out of the police’s firearms unit in the UK. This after a controversial photo was found on a computer during a raid on another officer’s home. It depicts one of the guys pointing his shotgun at another, who poses on the bonnet of an armoured Land Rover Defender with his finger on his mouth like a pin-up girl. The matter is currently being investigated.
The image is understood to have been taken by a firearms instructor in the elite gun unit of Greater Manchester Police.
What seems to upset people even more, is the fact that it was taken as little as 18 months after one of their colleagues was accidentally shot dead by a fellow officer on a training exercise. Ian Terry was shot dead with a Remington pump-action 12-bore shotgun similar to the one seen in this photograph:
