World’s Large Paper Aeroplane Launched In Arizona [VIDEO]

The Pima Air & Space Museum in Tuscon, Arizona recently launched a 14-metre long paper aeroplane, in world record attempt. Because that’s the kind of stuff you have to do to get press when you’re an Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona. Check the launch after the jump.

The plane had to be launched by helicopter on account of being 14 metres long, and it needed repairs after buckling under its own weight on launch day. And once the thing was actually airborne, the mission was almost aborted when it started to pull on the chopper during a strong gust of wind.

All of which is besides the point because, come on, it’s a giant paper aeroplane. It’s cool.
