Two days ago, we broke the first photographs from a vigilante group murder in Khayelitsha’s Harare district.

Three men were stabbed, stoned, and set alight beneath a pile of burning tyres on the suspicion of stealing a generator, or a flat screen television, according to conflicting reports. The shocking video shows a large group of people assembled around the burning pile, before one of two policemen pulls a motionless, smouldering victim from the fire. Please be advised, this footage is NOT for sensitive viewers.

Police spokesman Frederick van Wyk said four people had been arrested on murder and abduction charges for a separate but similar incident last week, but no arrests had yet been made in connection with the men killed at Harare on Monday evening.
