As the ANC’s leadership conference draws ever nearer, it would seem that ol’ Julius is still not able to keep his mouth shut, somehow desperately clinging on to the illusion that he is still relevant. He was speaking at a public rally in Kimberley yesterday.
In his address to the crowds, he stated that current leaders had become arrogant on the power that was given to them by voters and that they should not be getting too comfortable when the ANC leadership conference rolls around. He made reference to the leadership conference at Polokwane, which led to the recall of Thabo Mbeki as president of the ANC.
“Never be ahead of the masses,” said Malema to a cheering crowd of youths in Kimberley. He then continued, telling the youth at the rally that they must fight for economic freedom, by nationalising the mines and expropriating land without compensation.
