It’s been a roller-coaster couple of weeks for 2oceansvibe Media. Just recently SuperSport picked up an online Rugby Show concept from us, along with the anchor that presented it; then Naspers also took our sales man – you can read about that here. And now Mail & Guardian are picking up stories from us! Suffice to say we are flattered beyond belief!
Whilst our proud relationship with Naspers is clear to see – with both News24 / channel24 and 2oceansvibe Media regularly quoting one another – the most recent example of 2oceansvibe Media’s gentle infiltration of established media, sees the high-brow Mail & Guardian politely acknowledging that 2oceansvibe is delivering the news that everyone is talking about. Their recent coverage of a police brutality video they saw on 2oceansvibe, came with the line, “The video was first posted on the 2OceansVibe website on March 9 2012.”
Pop a link in there next time, if you could. Thanks, guys. You’ll see News24 also quoted us as source as well, but they included a link.
We quote you a lot as well, by the way. Especially in the daily Morning Spice headlines which 75% of our recent survey group (1,035 people sample) confirmed they “made a habit of visiting” on a daily basis. I get a lot of it from the Mail & Guardian app on my iPad. We’re a bit of a high and low row hybrid, you see – filtering and delivering the stuff people really talk about.

Thanks again.
