This is Zoltan Kohari, Slovakia’s very own batman, from the town of Dunajska Streda. He may not have his own Batmobile, but he does have a home-made leather Batsuit. It even has the logo on the chest. His crime fighting skills are a little lacking though, even if he means well.
This Batman cleans the streets of his local town, helps old ladies to cross the road, and calls the police when he sees suspicious activity. He doesn’t have much – Zoltan started out as a unemployed 26 year-old, when he moved into a dilapidated block of flats, or “bat cave,” as I’m sure he likes to call it. Asked why he does what he does, he had the following to say:
I have decided to do good for the people. I take care of order and help clean up the environment so we can keep living on this planet.
So besides helping old ladies across the street, what is Batman’s next mission? Stopping Slovak bouncers from roughing up the youth at nightclubs.
An honourable mission indeed.
