We all love a good movie with a broken-love story, a guy trying to make it big, the struggles of your average Joe’s daily life. But, even better is a film sporting our local talent. Comedian Paul Snodgrass is releasing his masterpiece “Casting Me” this week around the Cape. With a great cast and many “I can relate to that” moments, it promises to be a winner.
Paul plays Paul (we know), a likable Casting Director who has dreams of making his own feature film. His girlfriend, Chloe has broken up with him, and he hates his job although he has great colleagues, like Rueben and Janet. He lives in a flat with his friend Nic, a gay computer nerd. To get his life on track again and win back his girlfriend, he commits to finally making a film about his job, love life and the insanity of his day job.
Casting Me will be showing at the Cape Winelands Film Festival from 14 – 24 March 2012, at Nu Metro (V&A Waterfront) on March 16 and 20 at 17h45, and at the Oude Liebertas Auditorium, Stellenbosch 17 March at 20h15. Along with a great cast and special appearances by Colin Moss, Aidan Whytock and Louw Venter (to name a few), this is sure to be an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. Go on, you know you want to.
Be sure to check out The Bro Show, hosted by Paul on 2ov RADIO every Wednesday from 18h00 to 20h00!
