Dove are ready to announce their shiny new brand ambassador for the Dove Men+Care range.
We’ve kept a sharp eye on this one. I mean, we all love a clean, well groomed guy, but a brand ambassador for a minimal fuss, absolutely-does-the-job product like Dove Men+Care needs to be manly, too, you know?
So who better to do the job than a man with a fierce (and immaculately trimmed) beard, who stands well over two metres tall.
Dove Men+Care’s new brand ambassador is none other than one of South Africa’s national heros, Victor Matfield. We reckon that the journey Matfield has been through in sports and life makes him the perfect candidate for Dove Men. We can relate to him, as guys, powering through life, and wiping ourselves clean from the inevitable mud that comes with getting your hands dirty. Congrats Victor!
Most of you will know that Matfield has had a seriously impressive rugby career and retired as a record Springbok cap holder (a player’s dream). He’s also the author of My Journey, a businessman, and Supersport presenter… Quite a catch if you ask me, ladies. Besides all of those “day jobs” he still makes time to be a loving husband and father.
According to Dove, Victor is an “authentic, real SOUTH AFRICAN man who portrays the perfect balance of masculinity and care. A man truly comfortable in his own skin, a man who promises to take DOVE to new heights and new consumers in 2012 and beyond”. No look, they weren’t wrong.
Check out Dove’s Facebook page for more info as well as exclusive interaction with the ambassador himself. Also, do yourself a favor and get some of their shower gel, it’s awesome. And combined with the judicious application of a loofah, it’ll last you forever.
