Naturalised British heavyweight boxer, Dereck Chisora, has been slapped with a ban by the WBC for an indefinite period of time. Chisora’s name will also be removed from WBC rankings. Chisora invited the wrath of the WBC on himself with a slew of bad behaviour prior to, and just after his ill-fated bout against Vitali Klitschko.

At the pre-fight weigh-in, Chisora slapped Vitali Klitschko across the face, without provocation. You can watch that here.

He also spat water into the face of Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali’s brother.

But things got truly messy when, at the post-fight press conference, Chisora stormed into the crowd to confront former British heavyweight boxer, David Haye, who was tormenting Chisora from the crowd. A brawl ensued, and Chisora was arrested, and then released without charge. Haye ninja-bombed, and is sought for questioning in Germany.

Haye, meanwhile, is best remembered for also talking a lot of pre-fight trash, before taking a beating at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko, after which he blamed his broken toe, and humiliated an entire nation by crying like a little girl.
