The Eastern Cape branch of the ANCYL has proclaimed that they will ignore Julius Malema’s suspension from his chairmanship of the Youth League until the final mitigation of sentence can be decided upon, or at least until a pronouncement can be made at the ANC national congress in December.
Julius lost his appeal when the ANC Disciplinary Appeal Committee handed down their decision to uphold his suspension last weekend. His co-accused, Floyd Shivambu and Sindiso Magaqa also lost their appeal, but were allowed to retain their positions in the ANCYL, whereas JuJu lost that too.
Not so, according to the Eastern Cape ANCYL, who are exploring several other avenues of appeal, including writing no-doubt riveting “discussion documents” to fling at the ANC congress in December, as well as throwing a good old tantrum in the office of Cyril www.health-canada-pharmacy.com/sleeping-aids.html Ramaphosa, where the soft carpets will prevent too much bodily damage.
Julius is still the president, even if the mitigation can arrive at the same conclusion [that he be suspended] — any discussion of a post-Julius era is premature at this stage,
That was the muffled voice of Eastern Cape Youth League provincial secretary, Mziwonke Ndabeni from beneath several inches of sand.
Malema, Shivambu and Magaqa have two weeks to prepare their arguments for mitigation of sentence, while the Eastern Cape Youth League rushes to prepare their own material to stave off the oncoming PJE, or “Post-Julius Era.”
