It’s been all over the news lately that Demi Moore was rushed off to hospital to be treated for what has only been described as “substance abuse.” This was later revealed to be abuse of whip-its, little cans of nitrous oxide. The call made to 911 has now been leaked, and you can hear it here.

Changes have been made to the call to remove references to specific drugs, as the authorities believe this to be an invasion of Demi’s privacy. I find this a little funny – isn’t airing the entire call an invasion of her privacy?

There is utter confusion at the beginning of the call – the dispatcher didn’t know which department should handle the call.  The woman says Demi smoked something – not marijuana – similar to incense, and that she was having convulsions.  The person says Demi was barely conscious.

According to reports from paramedics at the scene, she fell into a state of semi-consciousness after inhaling nitrous oxide, and was presenting seizure like symptoms. A weird drug for a celebrity to be abusing, if you ask me. The pain of losing Ashton must have been just too great.
