Angry Birds is quite possibly the most successful phone game in recent history. It’s available for just about every kind of smart phone, tablet, and even browsers such as Google Chrome. Soon you’ll be able to fling wingless birds right from your favourite social network – Angry Birds is coming to Facebook.
Unlike Facebook Timeline, which was rolled out bit by bit and is now being forced onto everyone, Angry Birds will be rolled out to all 800 million Facebook users simultaneously. The integration into Facebook will introduce a social aspect to the game, such as leader boards where players can challenge their friends. The game will also be coming to Samsung Smart TVs very soon, as part of Samsung’s App Store, where you’ll be able to crash wingless birds into things from your couch.
The top three games on Facebook are currently all derivatives made by a developer called Zyngo. They are FarmVille, CastleVille and CityVille and all sound completely ridiculous and silly. I’m willing to bet my money that Angry Birds is going to knock them right out of their spot made from wood and glass.
