Who made the cut for this year’s Oscars?
The 84th Annual Academy Awards ceremony is rapidly approaching, and while much of Cape Town and surrounds (yes you, rest of South Africa!) dither over the DASO bringing sexy back, some of us are fretting over how many flicks will get the Best Picture nod (recall they’ve upped the potential list of candidates to ten), whether “The Artist“ will steal everything, and whether “Iron Lady” Meryl will get the nomination she so richly deserves.

Some big surprises, including a Best Score nom for a silent film (“The Artist”), a snub for ons se Charlize in the excellent “Young Adult“, while Scorsese leads the nomination field with his Paris-based, “Hugo”, and is that Jonah Hill with an Oscar nomination for “Moneyball“!?
Well film fans, thoughts on the nominations for 2012?
