I found myself in London the weekend before last, attending my first “press junket.” It was for the remake of the Swedish film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. Rooney Mara is the girl at the beginning of The Social Network, who breaks up with Mark Zuckerberg. She basically owns the film and I guarantee you will be blown away by her vibe. I wouldn’t rule out an Oscar.
Mr. James Bond, Daniel Craig stars as Mikael Blomkvist, the journalist hired by a wealthy Swede in search of his missing niece. The movie was directed by David Fincher (Zodiac, Fight Club, Seven, Social Network, Alien 3) and you can check out our interview with David Fincher here (where he squashes rumours that Yolandi Vi$$er from Die Antwoord was ever asked to play the lead role).
I caught up with Daniel Craig at The Dorchester hotel in London, where apart from teasing him about the graphic sex scenes, we discussed his favourite moment in the film, ad-libbing and his role as Afrikaans Sergeant Botha in the movie The Power Of One, which he filmed in Zimbabwe in 1992.

Be sure to watch The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – launching January 6 (16LVN).
You’ll dig it – even if you have seen the original movie. It’s a completely different take.
