Man Attacks Holiday Shoppers With Lightsabre

Don’t you just hate it when you’re casually doing your shopping, getting some gifts for your little cousin, and then having to go to the hot mess that is Toys R Us at Christmas time? Parents are already fighting over what ever the “cool toy” for 2011 is, then you have to deal with some fool that’s guarding the stash with a lightsaber.

Portland parents had to deal with the same problem yesterday, when they got swung at by 33 year-old fanboy in their local Toys R Us. Officers tried to arrest the man, but he kept swinging the light saber at them, Simpson said. One tried to use his Taser on the suspect but the device didn’t work.

Another officer used his Taser and made contact, but the man knocked one of the wires away with the light saber. Like a boss.

He has now been taken into custody.
