A former KwaZulu-Natal cop is going to have to spend a long time on the wrong side of the bars, having been sentenced to life imprisonment today for killing three people. The 28-year-old ex-cop, Judea Ntuli, went on an insane shooting spree in 2009, during which he killed two SAPS colleagues and a schoolboy.
A member of the Ulundi police unit at the time, Ntuli shot Detective Constable Zephania Ntshayintshayi and Lieutenant Colonel Bongi Masemola dead, for no known reason, while they were attending an outdoor crime awareness campaign.
Ntuli then continued his rampage by marching into 13-year-old pupil Senzo Vilikazi’s school and killing him with a stolen firearm. The clearly disturbed man attempted suicide later that day in his apartment, but was apprehended before he could kill himself.
