Previously, 2oceansVibe reported that Kevin Keller, an openly gay character in the Archie comics series, who is also a military serviceman, was going to get married in a special issue of the comic.

Well, here’s a first look at the cover of that upcoming issue of Life With Archie, featuring Kevin Keller and his husband Clay, being cheered by the Archie gang after tying the knot.

Keller first appeared in Veronica (one of the many parallel Archie titles) #202 in September 2010, and subsequently had his own four part series, Kevin Keller, whilst appearing now and again in other titles. Issue 16 of Life With Archie, featuring Keller’s marriage, will drop in January next year.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call progress.
