Politics in Spain has recently taken a turn for the worse. The landslide victory of opposition leader Mariano Rajoy and his conservative Popular Party over the ruling Socialist Party — which suffered its worst defeat since the start of the post-Franco era — is widely viewed as a threat to same-sex marriage, which became legal in Spain in 2005.

But the gays won’t go down without a fight. Or without a make-out session for that matter. Watch as a live Al Jazeera news report on the election gets photobombed by two guys furiously sucking face.
