Sunday, 27 Movember is an auspicious date. Kelvin Grove Club will never be the same, until next year.
For those of you not in the know, during the month of Movember, men grow their moustaches as a sign of support for those men who have been afflicted with cancer.
GO Bowling uses bowling as a platform to get men and woman together for a fun filled day on the lawn, playing bowls in a four-man team format. This year’s expanded tournament boasts 48 teams!
How it works
Each team plays four rounds with a duration of 20 minutes per round. The top half of the teams then progress to a semi final, after which the top half proceed to the finals. The grand finale winner is crowned based on the team with the best score. During the lunch break, the two MC’s, Corne and Twakkie (The Most Amazing Show) host a charity auction, buydiazepamsite.com/valium-price.html from which all proceeds are donated to CANSA. Through this GO Bolwing raises much needed awareness and funds for CANSA and Movember.com.
A team entry of four players costs R500, and all proceeds go to CANSA. There will be DJ’s, live music, food, booze, and lots of awesome prizes to be won.
If any of you can feel your upper lip quiver in anticipation and want to enter a team, please mail us with a team captain name and team name, and GO Bowling will reserve a spot in the line up.
28 of 48 teams have already been booked so don’t leave it too late!
