Fifty years of age, that is. Can you tell?
Has it really been over two decades since Brad Pitt and his pubic hair blasted to global superstardom in ladies-on-the-lam flick, Thelma and Louise? Indeed it has – and it’s all coming to an end soon, says Mr. Angelina Jolie, who intends to quit acting and move behind the camera in three years when he turns fifty.
The many faces of Brad Pitt, Actor.
In an interview for E!Online, whilst on the publicity trail for Moneyball, Brad had this to say, upon being asked how many more years of acting he had in him:
Three years. I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher times otherwise.
Of course, three years is a long time in show business, and Brad joins a motley crew of actors and performers who have said they’re going to quit, only to re-appear, hungry for more. Again, and again.
The Come-back Club
While we all take a minute to wipe the snot from our faces, hysterical with shock that Brad will leave our screens, perhaps we can extract some small sliver of comfort from the fact that in Hollywood, goodbye rarely ever means exactly that. See you in 2015, Brad, in the long (lo-oong) awaited sequel to Cool World!
