French Weekly Gets Firebombed For Satirizing Muhammad, Does It Again

Charlie Hebdo, French satirical weekly, was firebombed a week ago, after the publication put a caricature of the prophet Muhammad on the cover of an issue criticising the rise of Sharia law in the Middle East post-Arab Spring. And their newest issue has a caricature of the prophet making out with Hebdo's editor.

Charlie Hebdo , a French satirical weekly, was firebombed a week ago, after the publication printed a caricature of the prophet Muhammad on the cover of an issue criticising the rise of Sharia law in the Middle East post-Arab Spring. And their newest issue has a caricature of the prophet making out with Hebdo‘s editor.

Specifically, Charlie Hebdo is running a front-page cartoon depicting Muhammad making out with the publication’s editor, Charb, beneath the words “love is stronger than hate.”

So yes, I don’t believe this is going to end well.

The new issue is set to hit newsstands on Wednesday, Hebdo rebounding quickly from last week’s firebombing. New office space was made available by Paris City Hall within days of the bombing.
