Ever since the first teaser trailer of The Dark Knight Rises hit the internet in July, fans have been scouring the online landscape looking for more sneak peeks to satisfy their insatiable desires for more bat-related awesomeness. Over the past weekend some lucky followers got exactly what they were hoping for.
Behind the production notices on Wall Street, which claimed to be filming “Magnus Rex”, Christopher Nolan and his star-studded cast were capturing footage for scenes from the final installment of the Batman trilogy.
Several lucky onlookers caught a glimpse of the action and some of them were even kind enough to snap some footage and share it with the rest of us who couldn’t make it to the scene.
The amateur footage shows Gotham City police taking on escaped convicts from Arkham Asylum lead by the brute, Bane (Tom Hardy). It also appears that the once Batman-exclusive batmobile has become part of the law enforcer’s arsenal. Should be interesting.
An airhorn signals the end of fun and games but, judging by the video, there’ll be plenty more to come when the feature hits cinemas on 20 July 2012.
