The New Age did a cool article on our Johannesburg studio. Ian F and the gang have been waking up the upwardly mobile on 2oceansvibe Radio for over a month now.

Ian F is, simply put, a South African radio legend. With a career spanning nearly two decades, he’s pretty clued up about what’s what with radio. So I was pretty excited to meet him and his new breakfast show crew at a small makeshift lounge-like studio in Milpark Johannesburg.

The Ian F Show broadcasts via the internet every weekday morning from 7am to 10am on 2Ocean’s Vibe radio. The team consists of Ian F and his three vibey and funny co-hosts Spike, Lisa Dawson and Ricci Regnani.

“Spike and I go way back,” says Ian, at which point Spike jumps in jokingly,

“And we were looking for two relatively good looking people to join the team and all we managed to get was these two.”

Each of the group have varying degrees of experience – from university campus radio to local and national radio experience – they’re all on the same page on what good radio requires.

Bored with the restrictions of traditional radio, Ian has jumped headfirst into internet radio.
