“You’ve gotta ask yourself one question: Do I hate gay marriage? Well do ya, punk?!”
Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood is notoriously inscrutable about a lot of topics, usually preferring to let his considerable body of film work do the talking for him.
This time however, Dirty Harry came out firing for gay marriage, or, to be specific, against those opposed to same-sex nuptials.
In an interview with GQ, on the publicity trail for his upcoming biopic of American FBI legend, J. Edgar Hoover, Clint took aim at the controversy surrounding gay marriage legislation, currently a hot topic across the US, as more States are debating the legalisation of gay marriage.
As usual, Clint didn’t mince words, drawing a line in the sand for gay marriage haters:
“These people who are making a big deal about gay marriage? I don’t give a f**k about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of … Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want!”
