A much-circulated 2009 ABCNews.com story found 112 different ways to render the Libyan leader’s last name. But, according to this passport, the accurate Latinized spelling is one of the least commonly used of those 112: Gathafi. Plettenberg Bay Surfer Dies After Shark Attack – A 49-year-old surfer died today after being attacked by a shark in Plettenberg Bay, about 500 kilometers (310 miles) east of Cape Town. The victim has been confirmed as local Plettenberg Bay resident and surfer, Tim van Heerden.
