A newborn baby girl who doctors declared dead after being delivered was moments from her burial when she awoke and started crying at a Brazilian funeral home. She was immediately rushed back to the hospital placed in an intensive care unit, but sadly passed away for real shortly afterwards.
According to a hospital spokesman she died of multiple organ failure caused by a lack of oxygen in the blood.
A 14-year-old mother who was seven months pregnant gave birth to the girl on Tuesday at the Santa Casa de Misericordia hospital in the nearby city of Araxa, according to a police statement.
