Just when you thought you were safe, someone goes and straps a bomb to your rich neighbours daughter. No really. This is exactly what happened to an unfortunate 18-year old girl in the wealthy suburb of Mosman in Sydney, Australia. Somebody call Bruce Willis.
Apparently the intruder entered at about 14:40 and fitted the girl with the device. Once the intruder had left, she called the police. Reports from the coppers have not yet confirmed a ransom note, but have said that the girl is the daughter of a wealthy Australian businessman, thus leaving extortion open as a possible motive.
The girl, who has not been named, was apparently calm and ‘doing pretty well’, but it sounds as if the police are still trying to disarm the device.
Streets around the house have been evacuated for safety reasons and the police have appealed to anyone in the area as to whether they had seen anything strange earlier in the afternoon or not.
This is definitely the perfect incident to spark some nosy neighbour paranoia, Mosman security companies are about to coin it.
