You’re going to want to watch this. OK Go have put out a new experimental music video for their new track, All Is Not Lost. You remember that one video with the treadmills? Or with the Rube Goldberg machine? Yeah, this is better than that.
I mean, normally I’d have a problem with a power-pop band in leotards, but OK Go pull it off. The video was shot in collaboration with modern dance company Pilobolus – but that’s not really the cool part.
See, if you’re use Google Chrome (and you should be. Naughty.) you get to see the number in all its interactive HTML 5 glory; much like Arcade Fire’s The Wilderness Downtown, the video makes use of cascading pop-up videos to mindblowing effect. I mean, the old-school HTML 4 embed we’ve got at the top of the page is pretty sexy, but to enjoy the full, interactive experience, open allisnotlo.st on a Google Chrome browser. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
Now that your mind’s been blown, take a look at some of OK Go’s other wonderful things. It’ll speed up your recovery.
