What was obviously an awesome idea at the time, hasn’t ended up working out quite so well for two teenagers from Los Angeles. In the old days, one could probably get away with an old prank like this, but not with modern policing unfortunately.
One of the teenagers shot Leanne Suter in the hand with a pellet from a BB gun during her live broadcast on Saturday evening.
Suter and her cameraman came under fire during the 18h00 bulletin, although Suter was the only one hit.
She was treated at a nearby hospital and released without serious injury.
Mark Weissman of the Fontana Police Department told the Press Enterprise that she was “a little shook up” by the attack.
Officers reportedly found at least two pellets near a news van that was also shot at.
The moment of impact..
KABC, the station Suter reports for, said that a San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department helicopter was able to locate a house that was possibly involved in the incident. It was also revealed that two boys, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were arrested in connection with the incident.
Police reportedly found an array of BB guns at a residence in the area.
