Malema’s Panic Room

Today the DA will ask Sars to investigate the fearless ANC Youth League leader, Julius Malema’s finances. According to the party’s police spokesman, the DA has information that points to Malema building a 16 million Rand mansion, complete with panic room.

According to DA MP, Dianne Kohler Barnard, Malema has been up to his old tricks again, this time by building a massive house in one of the flash suburbs of Joburg:

I will be writing a letter asking for an investigation into his finances. The time has come. It is inconceivable that someone who claims to live on a R25000 salary from one of the ANC bodies can get a bank loan for 16 million Rand.

One needs an investigation into where the money is coming from. If someone is handing out money to him we need to know who it is.

According to the Sunday https://safemdonline.com Independent, Malema has leveled a property he bought in Sandown in 2009. In its place he is building a multi-story bachelor-pad, complete with party deck and an “underground bunker”, for when his members come to re-distribute some wealth.

The DA says that this shows that Malema has no confidence in the government’s ability to effectively fight crime. On this one I’m totally with Malema. I’d have a panic room too if I could have one. At least he’s in touch with how serious crime really is, and he should be, he’s leading the charge.
