Come on, you all know what we’re referring to in that headline. It’s just a little bribe and you’re done. In there. RICA sorted. It’s actually hardly surprising, but it deflates the high we all experienced with the relatively hassle-free event that was reported in a lot of the mainstream media.
We haven’t tried to do this ourselves, obviously, because that’s illegal. But as it turns out, this status update has appeared on Facebook:
Freedom of speech… a wonderful thing
And, coincidentally, Eye Witness News tweeted that they will be covering a similar purchase, for the same amount, during their morning’s broadcasting today:
We’ll keep you updated, but there doesn’t seem to be much more to the story, to be completely honest.
To RICA one just needs to “provide” some “important” information that then gets manually captured into a computer system.
R20 seems to ensure you decide on what information you’d like to use – obviously you just need to know somebody who’s happy to oblige with their computer skills.
[Update: See EWN’s investigation into the purchasing of pre-RICA’d SIM cards, here.]
