To Catch An Adulterer

In the same way you don’t want to hear about a traffic officer being arrested for drunk driving, it’s rather disconcerting to hear about US television’s watchdog for sexual predators being caught on camera cheating on his wife with a much younger woman. But that’s what happened to Chris Hansen, host of NBC’s ‘To Catch A Predator’.

The show, which identifies and censures internet sex perverts, has made Hansen famous. Whatever made him think he was impervious to being caught doing dodgy deeds on film is beyond me. Surely he checks rooms as a matter of course for hidden cameras and TV crews crouching behind pot plants?

In a sting orchestrated by the National Enquirer, 51-year-old Hansen was caught on camera having dinner and spending the night in Palm Beach with Kristyn Caddell, a journalist who is 21 years his junior. The affair has been going on for months apparently.

Chris’ wife, Mary, must not be happy.
