Dutchman Johan Huibers decided, after a dream where everything flooded, that he too should build an ark, and now it’s just about ready to set sail.
He began the project in 2008 and the project cost him about $1 million Dollars. The ship is massive and was built by the exact standard of cubits, as per the Bible. It weighs 3000 tons, is 450 feet long and holds 1500 passengers.
The boat is made of pine, just like God ordered, but needs a steel hull, as apparently a vessel this size would sink if it didn’t.
The Ark is ready to set sail in his native Holland, and he even he plans to sail it down the Thames River for the 2012 Summer Olympics, if the English let him.
