The Daily Maverick has broken new ground in the publishing sphere by developing Africa’s first daily tablet-only newspaper, iMaverick. While the official launch of the newspaper is August 15, applications for subscription to the bundled newspaper/iPad2 offering have opened. Included in the cost of the monthly subscription is a daily edition of the newspaper, and an iPad2, available in WiFi and 3G versions. Considering that worldwide supply of the iPad2 is severely limited, and that the DM brand is for people with brains and money, your application is subject to approval, and doesn’t guarantee you a subscription. All the more reason to apply right now, then, isn’t it?
