Ryan Dunn of Jackass fame’s death this week has been highly controversial and the subject of much debate worldwide – not because he was a famous stuntman, but because of the circumstances surrounding his death. After much speculation, the results of a post-mortem report have revealed that he was double the legal limit and was driving his Porsche GT3 at around 140 miles per hour, before losing control – killing himself and his buddy. More after the jump.
ibtimes.com reports:
The daredevil, whose death has kicked up unseemly controversies, had an alcohol level of 0.196, way higher than the 0.08 legal limit set for drivers in Pennsylvania. However, according to the report of the West Goshen Township police, the coroner did not find any evidence for Dunn using drugs of abuse like heroin, pot or cocaine. The coroner is yet to get results of tests done to identify prescription drug use.
Police also said Dunn’s Porsche 911 GT3 was travelling at a speed of 140 miles per hour (mph) on the stretch of a road where speed limit is 55 mph. The car careened off the road trying to negotiate speeds too fast to handle, crashed through the guardrails, sped into the woods out of control and exploded in flames.
