A dating website that grants only beautiful people acceptance, has had to apologise to 30 000 ugly people for being mistakenly allowed onto the website database. Apparently, the virus gave entry to every person that applied, regardless of whether they were aesthetically pleasing, or not. This is what managing director, Greg Hodge had to say when I caught up with him, on his high horse:
We have sincere regret for the unfortunate people who were wrongly admitted to the site and who believed, albeit for a short while, that they were beautiful…
It must have been a bitter pill to swallow, but better to have had a slice of heaven than never to have tasted it at all.
Okay, I didn’t really catch up with him, but that was actually how he responded to rejected members. No jokes.
Apparently a strict rating system is in place where existing members vote whether or not you are beautiful enough.
Get this: they claim that they are 700 000 strong, with most of their members coming from the United States. Now it all makes sense.
A hotline has also been set up to help the denied applicants come to terms with not being beautiful.
In the interest of the rest of the world, I have devised the “Greg Hodge Beauty Test.”
STEP 1: Print out this picture of Greg Hodge.
STEP 2: Face a mirror, and hold the printed picture up next to your face.
STEP 3: Judge yourself.
In the event that you are better looking, attempt to join www.beautifulpeople.com.
Problem solved.
