An accident has left a woman in a critical condition after musician and Idols presenter ProVerb, whose real name is Tebogo Thekisho, knocked her over on Wednesday morning while driving home from his early morning show on a local radio station. Details of the cause of the accident are yet to emerge.
The 94.7 Highveld Stereo DJ, who also appeared last year in the South African reality television programme, Survivor SA, was driving home after his early morning breakfast show when the accident happened.
Netcare 911’s Jeff Wicks told Eye Witness News:
A woman was critically injured when she was struck by a light motor vehicle on Paul Kruger Drive [in Roodepoort] this morning.
The cause of the accident and the series of events leading up to it will form the subject of a police investigation.
Wicks went on to say that the woman was rushed to hospital with severe head injuries.
Currently ProVerb is spending time with the woman’s family in hospital.
