This morning it was reported that the gun used to kill strip-club owner Lolly Jackson, in May last year, belonged to none other than police crime intelligence head, Joey Mabasa.
The top cop has been linked to Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir, and suspicions have arisen as to whether Mabasa was corrupted by the relationship and involved in the murder of Jackson. It is generally accepted that an associate of Krejcir’s, George Louca (also known as George Smith) was the guy who pulled the trigger, but did the gun have another owner?
The plot thickens: Louca, who has not denied the allegations, was named as the perpetrator by Mabasa himself. Mabasa reported his gun as having been stolen around the time of the murder.
Louca’s response to the allegations was reportedly, “If I go under, I will not go down alone, a lot of important people will go down with me. I will pay the consequences, but they will as well”.
There is still a great deal of conflicting evidence, but there is definitely more to the story than initially believed.
