Reality TV stars the Kardashians are renowned for their restraint and general good taste. So one can imagine that last week’s gathering of the K clan to celebrate Kim’s engagement to New Jersey Nets Player, Kris Humphries, was really really klassy. And there’s nothing wrong with bringing in a couple of mini horses covered in glitter, k?

Kim agreed to marry her boyfriend of six months after he popped the question with a 20.5 carat (karat?) diamond ring on 18 May. The two Kris-es – Humphries (his first name really is spelt with a ‘K’) and Jenner (Kim’s mom) – also conspired to throw a truly memorable engagement party.

“Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini horses there,” Kim told People magazine.

“Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!”

There you have it. Two live glittery mini horses at a party = hysterikal.
