This coming Thursday, the V&A Waterfront will be playing host to the inaugural Cape Town Society Charity Dinner. The proceeds of the ticket sales and the auction will be passed to a number of worthy charities.
One of the beneficiaries of the auction proceeds is the Bobs For Good Foundation, which is a fantastic initiative dedicated to shoeing the feet of South Africa’s youth. Why shoes? Shoes are one of life’s most basic commodities – a basic taken for granted by many of us. Take a moment to consider whether you would be able to walk kilometres to school in the winter, barefoot, and maintain your ability, or even your will, to concentrate at school. Invest in the lives of our kids, and put shoes on feet for the cost of a great night out. Coincidentally, you’ll get a great night out for your money. Check out the details below.
Just in case you missed the details, this is what you’ll be getting for your R350: A three course dinner, a complementary glass of wine, entertainment from Paul Snodgrass and Lady M and an auction of amazing premium lifestyle and adventure items, including luxury weekends away, a Huey helicopter ride, shark cage diving, dinners for four, golf days – it’s basically a list of things you should do before you die.
