Joseph Ntshongwana, a former Blue Bulls flanker and Barbarians player, appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today in connection with a series of gruesome axe murders in the city, according to reports.
Ntshongwana is alleged to have killed the men in retaliation after his daughter was allegedly gang-raped and infected with HIV. He was not asked to plead at the court appearance.
Of the three axe-murder victims, one was found with his head hanging on by “a nerve” according to police. He has been remanded in custody and is due in court on April 07.
Police say he stalked his victims before killing them in Umbilo, Yellowwood Park and Lamontville.
Stay off the juice, kids.
