I’m all for advances in alternative medicine but this is a little too alternative.  A German doctor has been found guilty of endangering the lives of 25 patients due to his highly eccentric methodologies which included using lemon juice to sterilise his surgical procedures.

Moenchengladbach medical practitioner Arnold Pier, 54, has been sentenced to four years for a laundry list of harmful procedures to patients, four of whom died under his ‘care’.

In addition to the bizarre use of lemon juice as an anti-septic on incisions, Doc Pier, who ran his own hospital, was also fond of occasionally removing healthy organs from patients instead of diseased ones.

Apparently he found it all rather confusing.
