I tend to die a little bit inside every time music heroes try to put out new material after they’ve peaked, but I really like David Bowie so I guess somebody up there likes me. An unreleased 2001 Bowie album called Toy made its way to the internet earlier this week.
The album is honestly really only new-ish; the album is made of re-recorded lesser-known songs, a couple of which ended up on his 2002 Heathen B-side, but many haven’t been available until now, and it’s been more than five years since anything new’s come up, but hey. The stuff’s not exactly a future legend, but it’s good if you’re nostalgic for glam Bowie.
I’m sort of not allowed to link you to downloading sites, but there’s this new thing called Google which ought to solve that for you. Enjoy, you diamond dogs you.
Also, bonus points to whoever spots all of the Bowie song titles pigeonholed into this article.
