While walking is not always the most practical way of getting around, with troublesome Mercury turning retrograde in a few days’ time, you may want to try staying off trains, planes and other forms of mechanical transport for a little while.  As evidenced by a tragic public transport collision in China earlier today.

In short, an out-of-control bus was hit by a passenger train in Western China this morning, killing at least ten people and injuring up to 80 more.   The bus was transporting students to school in Urumqi city.

According to state media, police were still questioning the bus driver (who obviously survived the accident) on how the bizarre sequence of events occurred.  A witness said that children began to jump out of the bus windows before colliding with the train.
