IOL usually keep us fully stocked with a plethora of headline faux pas, what with their penchant for “fingered” politicians. Their liberal manipulation of the english language is usually enough to elicit a few chuckles from even the dullest of tools, even if it is a slightly depressing indictment on the state of journalism in South Africa.
Nevertheless, that old panacea of the hopeful, “It could always be worse”, has come through for us. Our media really could be much worse. They could be the Ugandan media, for example.
