Supatra Sasuphan, an 11 year-old girl from Bangkok has suddenly gone from zero to hero at school after being named the Guinness World Record’s Hairiest Girl in the World.
She is one of just 50 known sufferers of Ambras Syndrome worldwide. She basically has thick hair growing over her face, ears, arms, legs and back. Not even laser treatment can cure this. But while most sufferers have been shunned, Supatra has gradually been embraced by her community, and became a popular and outgoing child. Awe-some-ness.
