Adriaan Bergh has done the unthinkable, the unbelievable, the improbable, even.

Adriaan Bergh has been crowned Mr South Africa, 2011. Can. You. Believe. It.

We said it once, and we’ll say it again.

Adriaan gave us something special with that first video of his – a gift, if you will. But, we crooned, can you imagine what will happen if this guy wins and we get him on national television?

So we posted the story. And we waited. And the internet exploded, hard.

There were parodies aplenty, yet Adriaan’s place in the voting poll remained ominously low.

And then Arno Carstens stepped in, and gave his official endorsement of Adriaan on 2oceansvibe Radio.

It wasn’t long before all the hype began to translate into real results.

The next thing we know, December pulls around, and our man Adriaan is announced as a finalist for Mr SA 2011.
